Industrial minerals are purchased for a defined process. A foundry, drilling contractor, fertilizer producer, ceramics manufacturer and animal-feed business may use different grades and test criteria, even when they source a related mineral. Suppliers should describe the product in a way that lets the buyer judge application fit.

Organize the offer by mineral and grade

Separate products such as bentonite, barite, silica sand, kaolin, talc, limestone or other minerals by form, grade and processing. State the specification fields you can verify, the origin or source information you can document, available packaging and realistic monthly capacity. Do not combine several grades into a single listing if their performance or intended uses differ.

For bentonite or other process-sensitive materials, the buyer may ask for details tied to its application, such as particle size, moisture, swelling or other measured performance. For foundry use, for example, a buyer may specify process conditions and quality limits. Share current test results that correspond to the offered grade and lot rather than relying on a broad product description.

Qualify the application before quoting

Ask what the mineral will be used for, which specification or test method governs acceptance, the required form, monthly demand, destination, packaging and delivery schedule. This helps distinguish a genuine industrial requirement from an enquiry that cannot be served with the grades available.

Quote with grade, quantity, packing, currency, validity, lead time and delivery basis. Clarify whether the offer is ex-stock or planned production and whether the quoted capacity is available for that buyer’s schedule. For new relationships, agree on sample and inspection arrangements before committing a bulk lot.

Present reliable supply information

Keep product data sheets, sample references, test documents and lot records organized. Explain how the material is processed, stored and packed. If some testing or processing is carried out by a partner, state that clearly and agree who provides the supporting documentation.

Find buyers by application

Build prospect lists around the industries that use your specific grade: foundries, drilling and oilfield suppliers, ceramics makers, construction-material producers, agriculture or other relevant processors. The right target is the company buying the application, not simply any business that trades minerals.
