OEM buyers usually source brass components against a drawing, application or approved sample. A listing that says only “brass fittings manufacturer” does not show whether the supplier can make the part, hold the required dimensions or support a repeat production program. Present capability with enough detail to start a technical review.

Show processes and component families

Describe the products you make, such as fittings, inserts, nuts, ferrules, connectors or custom machined components. State which processes are in-house, the approximate component size range, machining capability and finishing options. Distinguish standard catalog items from parts made to customer drawings.

Show representative parts and, where confidentiality allows, non-sensitive drawings or dimensional examples. Do not publish a customer drawing without authorization. Identify the information needed for a quotation: drawing revision, material specification, annual or batch demand, tolerances, finish and inspection requirements.

Explain sampling and production approval

Outline how a sample or first article is produced, measured and approved before a larger run. State the likely MOQ basis and the factors that change it, including material batch, tooling, machining setup or finishing. Explain tooling ownership and storage terms when dedicated tooling is required.

A quotation should state the drawing revision, material and finish assumptions, quantity, currency, validity period, inspection documentation, lead time, packing and delivery basis. If the final price depends on an engineering review, mark the quote as provisional and list the unresolved points.

Make OEM quality information easy to review

Summarize how incoming material, machining dimensions and finished parts are checked. Share certificates or test documents only when they apply to the quoted material and facility. Tell buyers how nonconforming parts are recorded and how a corrective action is handled.

Approach the right procurement teams

Potential buyers include plumbing and sanitaryware OEMs, HVAC and refrigeration manufacturers, appliance makers, electrical equipment companies and industrial distributors. Contact sourcing, engineering or supplier development roles with one relevant component family and a short capability sheet.
