Bagasse packaging buyers usually source a defined format for a particular food, service model, or distribution channel. Suppliers can make evaluation easier by replacing broad environmental language with exact product information and by asking how the packaging will be used.

Organize the range by format

List plates, bowls, trays, clamshells, lids, or other items separately. For each SKU, show dimensions, usable volume where relevant, weight, color, case quantity, and whether a lid or matching component is included. Use photographs that correspond to the stated product and identify any dimensions that are approximate.

Ask about the buyer's application

A takeaway operator, caterer, distributor, and retail brand may have different needs. Ask what food is packed, whether it is hot, oily, wet, or chilled, how long it remains in the pack, and whether it is reheated. Share performance or test information only for the conditions actually evaluated. Avoid claiming universal compostability or regulatory acceptance; the buyer should confirm disposal infrastructure and destination-market requirements.

Make case and order economics clear

Quote per piece and per case, pieces per carton, carton dimensions and weight, minimum order by design, sample availability, production lead time, and pallet or container assumptions if known. Explain whether custom printing, tooling, or private labeling changes the minimum or timing. Provide a comparable quote for standard unprinted products as a starting point.

Support a practical trial

Offer samples from the same design and material specification proposed for production. Ask the buyer to test the product with its intended menu and service conditions, then record any fit, leakage, stacking, or handling feedback. Confirm the approved sample and specification before a larger run.
